Paddling Missouri waterways for a good cause

Hosted by the Greenway Network, Race For the Rivers 2008 features three separate Missouri River events designed to promote clean water awareness and education. Two different Missouri River racing events ensure that everyone from experienced paddling enthusiasts to racing beginners will be able to get in on the fun.

If you're fairly new to paddling Missouri waterways, the Clean Water Challenge is your race. This beginner adventure racing event is 20 miles long from start to finish, and includes various extra tasks for racers to complete along the way.

For paddling aficionados, the Race For the Rivers offers a tougher challenge. This 65 mile long race begins in Washington, and concludes the next day at the Confluence, just north of downtown St. Louis.
