Calling all Missouri outdoor racing fans! Race For the Rivers 2008 is back! Scheduled for the weekend of August 23 & 24, this Missouri river racing event from the Greenway Network features two separate outdoor races to accommodate paddlers of varying skill and competitive levels.
Everyone from serious canoeing enthusiasts to adventure racing beginners is sure to enjoy this Missouri outdoor racing event designed to promote clean water education, restoration and recreation.
The Clean Water Challenge - A Missouri Outdoor Racing Event for Beginners
This 20 mile, Missouri River race is designed for less experienced paddlers eager to learn more about preservation of Missouri waterways. Beginning in Weldon Spring, this beginner adventure racing event wraps up at the Race For the Rivers Festival in Frontier Park. Along the way to the finish, river racers will complete a number of extra tasks, including assistance in water quality monitoring.
Race For the Rivers - A Competitive Outdoor Racing Event for Experienced Paddlers
Paddlers looking for a tougher challenge will find it in this Missouri river racing event. This competitive outdoor race begins in Washington and concludes 65 miles later at the confluence. Paddlers will break at the end day one to enjoy the Race For the Rivers Festival in Frontier Park.
