A Saint Charles Canoe Race for Healthy Rivers

Put your paddling expertise to good use in a fun-filled Saint Charles kayak race, sponsored by Greenway Network. Race For the Rivers 2008 features three separate Missouri River events designed to promote clean water education, restoration and recreation. Two different racing events guarantee that canoe and kayak paddlers of varying skill and competitive levels will be able to get in on the fun.

The Clean Water Challenge - A Saint Charles Kayak & Canoe Race for Beginners

This 20 mile, Saint Charles canoe race is designed for less experienced paddlers eager to learn more about preservation of Missouri waterways. The adventure begins in Weldon Spring and concludes at the Festival in Frontier Park. On the way to the finish, racers will complete various extra tasks designed to promote greater understanding of clean water preservation.

Race For the Rivers - A Saint Charles Canoe Race for Experienced Paddlers

This 65 mile, two-day Saint Charles kayak race presents a tougher challenge for the experienced paddler. By canoe or kayak, racers begin in Washington and wrap up the next morning at the Confluence, pausing to enjoy the Festival at the end of day one.

Race For the Rivers Festival

As headquarters for both Missouri River canoe and kayak races, the Race For the Rivers Festival at Frontier Park in historic Saint Charles is the place to be on the day of the races. Live music, arts and crafts and educational displays are a few of the many activities to enjoy as you peruse outdoor gear from local vendors and keep tabs on the leader boards.
