The Rides

Back again this year, Ride for the Rivers offers participants yet another way to celebrate the Race for the Rivers Festival and support clean water education, restoration and recreation! The 5 and 25 mile ride begins and ends at the Festival grounds in Frontier Park runs south on the Katy Trail. The 35 mile route begins in Washington, MO and ends in Frontier Park.

5 and 25 mile riders  PLEASE NOTE  ....   we have a posted rolling start between 9 and noon.  We'd love to have people using the trail all day.  However, because of the expected heat, we are going to cut off the start at 10:30 am. 

You can register and start between 9 and 10:30. 

Please be sure to check out at the small pavilion or the Greenway Network booth as soon as you return so we can notify SAG support as soon as the trail is clear. 

You will get your official ride sticker and adults will get their raffle ticket on check in. 

A one year membership to Greenway Network, Inc will be given to all registrants.

5 Mile (approximate) - Letter to 5 mile Rider

Start: Registration begins at 9 am in front of the Pavilion in Frontier Park
Minimum Pledge: Single - $5, Family - $16 

This is a rolling start.  Register between 9 AM and noon and go at your own pace.  

25 Mile (approximate) - Letter to 25 mile Rider

Start: Registration begins at 9 am in front of the Pavilion in Frontier Park
Minimum Pledge: Single - $10, Family - $32

This is a rolling start.  Register between 9 AM and noon and go at your own pace. 

35 Mile - Letter to 35 mile Rider

Start: Registration begins at 8 am in Washington, MO
Minimum Pledge: $15 per rider

The 35 mile race will start when we launch the boats in Washington.  You will ride as a group, with escort, from the ramp across the bridge and to the Katy Trail.  Once you reach the trail you will be free to ride at your own pace.   

For All Rides, please: 

  • helmets must be worn at all times.
  • bring sufficient water.  There will be water/gatorade stops along the way.
  • wear sunscreen. 
  • dress for the weather.   
  • wear close toed shoes.

Shuttle Service:  There will be shuttle service available from the Bishop's Landing/Boat House parking lot in St Charles to Washington with a stop at the Weldon Spring boat ramp.  The first run will leave at 7:30 am.  The second run will leave at 3:00 pm.  Fee for this shuttle is $10.00 .  You must register here in order to ride the shuttle.  Space is very limited so there will very likely be no room for walkups.  Seats will be assigned on a first paid/first served basis.  The shuttle can carry your bicycle.
